Yummy Christmas Cookies and Banana Bread!

This is a recipe for EASY, soft sugar cookies! All you need are cookie cutters in the shapes of christmas trees, snowflakes, mittens, candy canes, etc., and a little creativity to decorate these fun shapes!

Ingredients:

470 g all-purpose flour
5 g baking powder
3 g salt
225 g margarine, softened
300 g white sugar
2 eggs
10 ml vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together, set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually blend in the sifted ingredients until fully absorbed. Cover dough, and chill for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Grease cookie sheets. On a clean floured surface, roll out small portions of chilled dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  3. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are barely brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

200 g white sugar
1 egg
3 ripe bananas, mashed
250 g all-purpose flour
5 g baking soda
3 g salt
60- 85 g chocolate chips (whatever you prefer!)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in the egg and mashed bananas. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt just until combined. Add chocolate chips! Pour into prepared loaf pan.
