The students of 1st of ESO have completed a relatively fun speaking exam in which they were to use 'there was/were' in relation to the objects in a set of photos given to them of a living room.
Examples of the comparisons include:
In picture A, there were 3 cats on the sofa. In picture B, there weren't any cats on the sofa.
In picture B, there was a computer on the carpet. In picture A, there wasn't a computer on the carpet.
They then had to draw in objects given to them from a list and explain to their partner where they placed each object in the photo.
For example, 'there was a playstation on the TV.'
For the speaking test, they worked with partners to complete the tasks at hand!
