This past Wednesday, IES Profesor Antonio Muro celebrated its second annual Pancake Day right here at school. Thanks to the help of Los Lapices, our AMPA group, our 1ESO students were able to taste freshly-made pancakes in between the morning’s activities. With classic toppings such as chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and maple syrup, our students had the opportunity to eat the recipe they had learned about and prepared in their English classes.
Students took turns between sampling the pancakes, running chef-themed races, and answering reading comprehension questions about the day’s origin. Though the morning was cold and windy, the students were excited to participate in something new and exciting. By the end of the hour, all of our students had learned something new about recipe-reading and pancake ingredients.
