A Basic Halloween Cookie Recipe


A yummy sugar cookie recipe, perfect for halloween shapes! This cookie dough is best used when chilled so prepare it early to allow for a couple hours in the refrigerator!

Recipe Ingredients
  • 1 cup. ( = 2 sticks=16 teaspoons ) butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar  (c. = cup)
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar - lightly packed
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda   ( tsp. = teaspoon = cucharadita)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Put the butter, both sugars, salt and the baking soda in a large mixing bowl and beat with a mixer for about 3 minutes. Blend in the eggs and vanilla extract. Reduce the mixer speed and add the flour gradually. Bake at 180° C  for 10 to 12 minutes on an un-greased cookie sheet.
